A Dirt Map in Vanda Engine 1 defines the “noise” of a surface, such as that representing fine grain. Dirt Mapping in Vanda Engine 1 uses hardware multitexturing to combine a regular diffuse texture -If it exist- with a dirt map. Vanda Engine 1 maps the Dirt Map to the 3D object based on its 2nd UV set.
